It’s a real shame that “Parkland survivor” David Hogg turned out to be the one to suck up all the media attention following the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fl., because there were a lot of survivors with stories to tell, some who lost so much more than Hogg’s right to carry an opaque backpack.
Andrew Pollack, whose daughter Meadow was killed in the shooting, mainly interested the media and the mob for his Trump T-shirt, but he’s among those who’ve been looking for a way to make schools safer that doesn’t trample the Second Amendment.
One addition he recently showed off is his daughter’s namesake Meadow, a dog that can sniff out weapons.
This trained dog was named Meadow in honor of my daughter. She can sniff out weapons and immediately stop an active shooter.
She’s a fighter, just like my daughter.
