WBT in Charlotte is reporting Tuesday that a member of city council is concerned that police might be coordinating the setup of their drunk driving and traffic safety checkpoints with ICE and putting them in immigrant neighborhoods, thus making illegal immigrants nervous and teaching them to associate local law enforcement with ICE — itself a law enforcement agency.
Charlotte City Council members want police to end drunk driving & safety checkpoints in immigrant neighborhoods because they are making illegal alien residents “nervous.” ? https://t.co/oo7aSh1NJm

That is crazy. Absolutely crazy.

We can’t have nervous residents. That’s part of the Bill of Rights. “Government shall take no action that results in the bad feelz of the populace at large”

Wait. What? So, politicians want police to stop keeping citizens safe to keep illegal immigrants happy. Hmmmm. Sounds logical. And familiar. ? When will logic come back into fashion?? I can’t wait!!

So we are supposed to now worry about making illegal alien residents "nervous" rather than enforcing the law and attempting to keep the legal American public safe? Yeah, that makes total sense.

So they want drunk drivers to be harder to catch just because the small minority that shouldn’t even be here are scared?
— Dreas Costa ?? (@fpdreas) February 13, 2019
So we should just let illegals possibly drive drunk ? ???♂️ I think not.

They make everyone nervous. So what?
— Mary Schmid (@MarySchmid2) February 13, 2019
They should already be nervous!
— Yeah, that's right. (@Thatsright6581) February 13, 2019
We don’t want drunk drivers nervous

First effort for “no go zones”? Dems love Europe.

Do you want “No Go Zones?” Because this is how you get no go zones.

Sad that this is my city….

Infuriating.

Charlotte is my hometown, and while I love it and owe most of my formative years to the area, the city's faux-progressivism has always been a bit troubling.
That being said, ICE activity in NC really ramped up this month. I'm not surprised the city council is reacting this way.
— Aidan McConnell (@AidanMcConnell) February 13, 2019
Yep! ICE has been rounding them up swiftly in Charlotte in last couple of weeks and the news is reporting that illegals are feeling “scared” to go out of home (which are areas mostly govt funded housing) ?♂️

Less safety checks more citizenship checks.
