It’s only fair to know that this tweet from ABC News senior political analyst Matthew Dowd is a couple of days old now, so it would have been posted last Monday afternoon — well after additional video surfaced showing exactly “what led up to this.”

Dowd’s getting his wish; the school had to close due to threats, and there was a suspicious package reported at the Diocese of Covington earlier Wednesday. So no, they’re not off the hook. But what’s up with the “regardless of what led up to this”? Isn’t that context sort of important?
