British Prime Minister Theresa May faced a vote on no-confidence Wednesday night from her own party but managed to sail through, although she says she will resign her position before the next election.
The vote means she’s safe in her position from challenges for the next year; had she lost, a replacement process with new candidates would have begun immediately.

In any case, May might have won the day, but she says she’ll step down before the next election.
