Shocker: Census numbers reveal that 63 percent of non-citizens are using a welfare program

Paul Bedard writes in the Washington Examiner Monday that, according to 2014 Census Bureau data, 63 percent of non-citizens are using a welfare program, and that number increases to 70 percent for those here 10 years or more.

Bedard writes:

The numbers are huge. The report said that there are 4,684,784 million non-citizen households receiving welfare.

And nearly all, 4,370,385, have at least one worker in the house.

In their report, Steven A. Camarota, the director of research, and Karen Zeigler, a demographer at the Center, said that in census data, about half of those are in the United States illegally.

Is anyone shocked or surprised yet?

Actually very surprised by this. The MSM adamantly insists it's the exact opposite.

And this in the face of the lowest unemployment figures across the board. Why become a citizen when you can make a career out of welfare. No pension needed just stay on welfare right through retirement. Bring all the relatives in through chain migration and retire them too.
