The Grio reported just yesterday that there’d been a second incident of racist graffiti targeting black and Latino people at Goucher College in Maryland in the space of a month.

Also on Friday, Baltimore police tweeted that they’d made an arrest in the case: a 21-year-old black student at the school.

(Yes, we’re seeing a lot of comments asking if he’s actually black — according to a statement released by the Baltimore County Police Department, he is.) Here’s that statement:
The first incident was reported on November 14 when a student found racially charged graffiti written in permanent black marker in a first-floor bathroom stall around 4:30 a.m., including a swastika symbol, a racially motivated threat, and three dormitory room numbers which were occupied by black male students. The students in those rooms were interviewed at the time and none could provide any suspect information or motive for the graffiti. One of those students was [Fynn Ajani] Arthur.
Yesterday, around 2 a.m., a student reported more racially charged graffiti in a second-floor bathroom stall in the same building, including swastikas and “KKK,” and appeared to include the last names of four black students, including Arthur.

Electronic Court Records indicate the suspect in 2 Goucher College racist graffiti incidents is 21 year old Fynn Arthur. He faces two counts of malicious destruction

Arthur has not been charged with a hate crime, but the dean of students is hoping he will be:

Can anyone remember the last college hate crime that wasn’t faked?

Doesn't help the cause. Punish him as a hate crime

This guy should suffer the same consequences that a person from one of the groups he was attempting to frame would suffer.

Seriously… that sort of behaviour is beyond despicable… make it a long long long time with bad food and company please
— Bouncer (@Durmitar) December 1, 2018
Why? Attention & need to feel a victim!? Idk
— LAG (@Puddinn_Head16) December 1, 2018
When one's political views hinge on being a "victim", but there is no evidence of being victimized, one needs to create some victim-hood in order to validate one's views…. the only alternative is to change one's views, and this is extremely difficult for some people.

Seems to happen often, poor self esteem and poor upbringing. Society and liberals love a victim.

Gotta love those small liberal arts schools!

Confusing how something like this-fake threats intended to incite outrage-can be “part of the larger problem of racism on campus.” Huh???

Some men, just like to watch the world burn. Even if they're in it. This is the highest level of sociopath.

The scary part isn’t that he did it, it’s what he was trying to put in motion by doing it.

Spot on!!!

I don't think FAKE HATE is true at all. I say it was ?% HATE. He wanted to incite violence, hate, racism, prejudice, bias and victum mentality. His intent was to set up one group of people against another. #LockHimUp
