As of Friday, it didn’t look like Democrat Andrew Gillum was ready to concede the governor’s race in Florida, insisting there was only one way forward:

On Saturday afternoon, however, Gillum offered up his congratulations to Florida’s next governor, Ron DeSantis.
I want to congratulate @RonDeSantisFL on becoming the next Governor of the great state of Florida. My wife R. Jai and I could not be prouder of the way we ran this race. We could not be more thankful to my running mate, @ChrisKingFL and his wife Kristen.

Most importantly, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for being part of this campaign. I wouldn’t be here without the support that was shown by millions of Floridians. I encourage y’all to keep fighting for what we believe in.

We are going to keep fighting. We will keep working. And in the end, I believe that we will win. I am so thankful to each and every one of you. pic.twitter.com/fWCKQysGmZ

Seriously, that was a classy take from a man who conceded defeat on election night and then withdrew his concession when the promise of a statewide recount arose. Are you watching, Bill Nelson?
For real this time? @RepDeSantis #GovDeSantis

I think your second concession was even sweeter that the first. I think it would be great if you conceded monthly.

About time….

Now that's the classy way of conceding. God bless.

And this is how it should be done @staceyabrams. Class and decorum. Nice job Mr. Gillum. Good luck next time around.

Gracious response after recanting your first concession.
Now do Florida a favor. Go away.

This was a hard-fought campaign. Now it’s time to bring Florida together. https://t.co/I1hB0vd3kb
— Ron DeSantis (@RonDeSantisFL) November 17, 2018
Oh look, we’re doing this again. 2016 is never going to end, is it?
I don't want to congratulate De Santis. I want to curse him to the heavens and hope all of his misdeeds take him down. He is not the legitimate governor.
