Broward County’s Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes held a press conference Saturday afternoon to respond to criticism from Republicans such as Rick Scott and Marco Rubio, with Snipes calling accusations of impropriety “unacceptable.”

Broward County elections supervisor Brenda Snipes is about to hold a press conference with updates after Rick Scott lawyers accused her of counting “illegal ballots.” I’ll periscope it from my Twitter account. Stay tuned.

Broward SOE Brenda Snipes and staff are holding a presser right now in response to GOP criticism.

So she can make time to hold a press conference to address criticism — shouldn’t she be counting ballots?
Snipes’ attorney says all the truck rumors on Twitter are false – they’re filled with chairs and supplies, he says.

“To give a claim of fraud without evidence is unacceptable”

Snipes’s attorney: we deal facts not fiction. There is no basis for fraud claims, it’s “unacceptable… the votes have all been counted.” pic.twitter.com/xUDmFWWVCm

Here’s a shocker:
Snipes will not be answering questions today.
— Ali Schmitz (@SchmitzMedia) November 10, 2018
But … we have questions. Lots of questions.
There are multiple activists who have jumped in this scrum. Some reporters are naturally aggravated because their questions are being shouted over some legitimate ones.
— Ali Schmitz (@SchmitzMedia) November 10, 2018
TO BE VERY CLEAR, most of those questions came from protesters with cameras who flooded the press conference. Very few journalists had the opportunity to ask questions. https://t.co/7rSg3fHYwX

Most important update from Broward County elections office was refuting the claim that ballots were delivered last night in trucks (per Sen. Matt Gaetz’s viral Twitter video). The trucks were removing equipment. https://t.co/7rSg3fHYwX

We noted that Snipes outright denied any allegations of fraud, but how about rank incompetence?
Transparency. Lol
— roywagg (@roywagg) November 10, 2018
1. She failed to update the state as required by law. 2. A judge ruled against her. 3. She has a history of deleting ballots. So, her statement is irrelevant.
— roywagg (@roywagg) November 10, 2018
So, the press conference was just to respond to growing GOP criticism, but the recounts are on.
