As Twitchy reported this morning, there’s been chaos across the country this Election Day, with problems ranging from power outages to voters turned away from a Detroit precinct because the voting machines were “locked in a closet.”
Bloomberg checked in with a stalwart bunch waiting in line to vote on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where they were experiencing “bad weather.”

It appears as though Tic Toc and I have very different ideas as to what constitutes "bad weather".

Light drizzle now = "bad weather." LOL.

54 degrees, partly cloudy and sprinkling…so brave!

If they can do it, so can you. And imagine the stories they’ll have to tell their grandchildren.
“Dearest Martha, we are just North of 72nd. We don’t have much food. Spirits are low as is the Belvedere tonic. Lines forced us to cancel our Soul Cycle. Precious Minerva might have a chipped nail. But we will soldier on through rain to exercise this most precious civic duty.”

“My love.. how I do wish I could be home with you, binging The Romanoffs like we always dreamed about. But this moment requires sacrifices of us all. I received the Pâté & REI parka you sent. It smells of your perfume & Restoration Hardware. I will keep it close.”

"We stand ever shivering at the ready for our moment in the booth, there are reminders of bad orange man daily. Some of us weep, but we do not know why. Some trek out for starbucks and never return. But like Ezra Klein says, we cannot and must not cede the Popular house vote."

Dear Martha,
The rain continues but have no fear, I have my trusted umbrella to keep me dry. We are running short on rations and our soy double shot latte has run dry but we shall not be deterred. We will stay in line and vote, even if it takes another hour.

Dear Samuel, I am out of coffee and the rain falls in earnest. My lululemon jacket has dampened and I fear I may need to wash it. My twitter livestream has been interrupted thrice. I hear crying in the line ahead of me as another phone battery dies in the arms of its user. Pray.

There is an open sewer nearby and I fear we may not endure these tribulations much longer. We were promised donuts and Starbucks but those rations have yet to materialize. God be with you. Oh, and save me some sweet potato canapés.

"As my stomach bespeaks its emptiness my thoughts turn to the Thai place on 72nd — our Thai place — and all the warm memories we shared there over ginger chicken"
— Papist in NOVA (@nova_papist) November 6, 2018
they were out of avocado toast but we soldiered on.

Will they survive their plight?
Such bravery, rarely seen.— Bob "JobsNotMobs" Darrah (@Bob4Right) November 6, 2018
It should be noted that no actual life nor limb were endangered by this activity.

It's great in the burbs, just drive up, park, go inside, vote RED, turn around leave. Home in 5 minutes. Done
