THIS is CNN: Women's sexual pleasure has never been more political; How about a sex strike before midterms?

CNN’s website is pitching in to emphasize just how important the midterm elections are, especially for women, but publishing a piece by writer Wednesday Martin suggesting that women could go on a sex strike to affect the outcome is a bit of a stretch.

We’ll give CNN a break seeing as the piece is clearly under the Opinion banner, but still. Even the headline is a bit of cheap clickbait that doesn’t really represent the opinion piece anyway, which goes deep into the concept of “service sex” — the man wants it, the woman obliges — and suggests, “It’s time for a revolution. At the polls, and in the bedroom.”

Martin writes:

It’s time for a revolution. At the polls, and in the bedroom. And in our understanding of who women are, sexually and otherwise. Given the tight interweaving of economic and political power with sexual entitlement, female sexual autonomy has never been more urgent, and women’s sexual pleasure has never been more political. Let’s consider what it might mean to go on a sex strike of sorts — to get what we want, rather than give what we think we owe others.

Some women under the current administration may be fine with this paradigm, but they are fundamentally yoked to male desires and agendas, never to exist outside or without them. This basic and deeply personal form of degradation, in which even women’s desires aren’t our own, both reinforces and reflects a hierarchy where men matter more.

See — all those suburban women who voted for Trump are fine submitting to the patriarchy and providing service sex, a “deeply personal form of degradation.”

CNN is pissed that President Trump won’t take responsibility for his divisive rhetoric and then they publish this.
