Celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti 'seriously considering' filing criminal charges against Brett Kavanaugh

Celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti has been all over cable news today after revealing the name of the woman he’s representing who claims she was present at high school parties with Brett Kavanaugh at which gang rapes were taking place.

Up until now, Senate Democrats have been arguing that Kavanaugh is guilty until proven innocent, seeing as he’s essentially applying for a job and not facing criminal charges. Avenatti, however, told MSNBC’s Ari Melber that he’s “seriously considering” filing charges against Kavanaugh and his friend, Mark Judge. He’s also seriously considering a run for president in 2020, so Kavanaugh’s scalp would be a hit at campaign rallies.
