We checked, and Jennifer Rubin still calls herself a “conservative blogger” at The Washington Post. So what “conservative” issue is she fighting for today?
As Twitchy reported, the Trump administration says it’s considering revoking the security clearances of Obama-era officials like John Brennan and Susan Rice, and Sen. Rand Paul is on board.
If that happens, Rubin believes they should all sue, citing their First Amendment rights. In fact, she hopes the Trump administration does it so they get sued.
a sickening example of content discrimination, violation of First Amendment. I hope they do it so the victims can sue https://t.co/VMa24EhzDW

Spoiler alert:
PSST: The real reason these ex-govt hacks are screaming is that having their security clearances exponentially increases their value as consultants, pundits and media sources.
This is not about serving our country. It's about status and lining their pockets.@hughhewitt

Don’t tell anyone, though. Make them think it’s a free speech issue.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to have a security clearance and never have it taken away… https://t.co/QH6Z5A8JoN

"Content discrimination"? Clearly, you don't need a security clearance to opine. Also, the 1st amendment doesn't guarantee you won't be ignorant. ⤵️ https://t.co/mN2POhycAE

Nowhere in the Constitution does it ensure that everyone in America is granted security clearance. https://t.co/hZP3Rab9sK
— Southern Sweetie (@ChristaLou90) July 23, 2018
Sickening example of abject ignorance, there is no constitutional right to a security clearance, especially with no oversight. In fact, outside of former POTUS's or VPOTUS's I see no legitimate reason any former employee should keep their clearance. https://t.co/TwiesyltwA

Who would have thought that when I got out of the Army, had my Security Clearance revoked and was forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement from the NSA that they were violating my 1st Amendment Rights?
Thanks Jennifer Rubin! https://t.co/d0rJiOGvP5

I hope they sue for security clearances on First Amendment grounds too just to see how hard the judge laughs at them https://t.co/hvYq6ruSeb

I also hope the 'victims" sue, it will be hilarious, they will fail thunderously, and it will be yet another punditry fail you can fail to learn from. https://t.co/vEsWcjJGyr

She's just wrong on this. Rand tonight said a new policy should apply across the board and not be person or party specific. And if Brennan, now a private citizen has a first amendment right to classified intel, when is my dossier arriving? https://t.co/OELFZwjFxi
