It seems NBC News’ Katy Tur was triggered by this morning’s joint press conference between President Trump and Vladimir Putin, and she had only one question — or does one question asked three times count as three questions? We thought journalism school at least taught the five W’s to ask for any story.
What will republicans do?
What will republicans do?
What will republicans do?
What will republicans do?That is the only question that matters.

Well, setting aside the mistaken assumption that that’s the only question that matters … what will Republicans do, besides criticize the president, like so very many did?
We'll re-elect him, obviously.

Well, we will re-elect him in 2020 of course.

1. Beef up military spending
2. Increase intelligence budget
3. Increase NATO exercises in the Baltics
4. Lethal aid to Ukraine
5. Develop new low-yield nuclear optionsAll things Russia hates. All done in past year with strong GOP support.https://t.co/Ar5KFpxEYH
— John Noonan (@noonanjo) July 16, 2018
Democrats have opposed most of these, as it is. I'm not trying to claim a scalp here. But it's fair to point out that there's a giant partisan gulf between talking tough on Russia and being tough on Russia.
— John Noonan (@noonanjo) July 16, 2018
So Democrats did do something … they opposed just about anything Trump suggested.
You forgot stationing Troops in Poland as well. Or is that covered under your exercises item?

Win another election. Win win win win win and win some more. Conservative populism anyway. Don’t know about Republicans.

The "repeat the mantra multiple times in one tweet" thing is irksome from activists, but it really has no place coming from people who purport to be journalists instead. https://t.co/mNUGPBQ9wU
