'Holy Grail of BURN': Former TIME editor drags President Trump over tweet, trips himself

If it weren’t for #PieGate, this would certainly be the least newsworthy story of the day:

As Twitchy reported, President Trump on Friday tweeted about taking a pass on being TIME’s Person of the Year this year:

During his previous major photo shoot, Trump was attacked by an ornery bald eagle named Uncle Sam — no good! Some got the joke; others, like TIME, apparently didn’t, setting the record straight with ABC News:

But Time magazine took issue with Trump’s claim, tweeting less than three hours later, “The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.

There’s one thing with not recognizing that President Trump does indeed have a sense of humor; there’s also Trump Derangement Syndrome, and MSNBC political analyst and former TIME editor Richard Stengel‏ seems to be one of those afflicted:

That’s quite a burn.

The only thing, though, is that this burn might have been self-inflicted. So while Trump never made Stengel’s list of the 100 most influential people, he ended up running for president and beating Hillary Clinton.
