As Twitchy reported, President Trump on Friday tweeted about taking a pass on being TIME’s Person of the Year this year:
Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year,” like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!

During his previous major photo shoot, Trump was attacked by an ornery bald eagle named Uncle Sam — no good! Some got the joke; others, like TIME, apparently didn’t, setting the record straight with ABC News:
But Time magazine took issue with Trump’s claim, tweeting less than three hours later, “The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.
There’s one thing with not recognizing that President Trump does indeed have a sense of humor; there’s also Trump Derangement Syndrome, and MSNBC political analyst and former TIME editor Richard Stengel seems to be one of those afflicted:
