We’ve already had at least one lecture on culturally sensitive Halloween costumes for the little ones, with Cosmopolitan doing its best to dissuade little white girls from dressing as Disney’s Polynesian princess Moana.
Now we bring you another lecture, this one from a 5-year-old in the U.K. whose mother caught her rant on camera. That rant made it the U.K. Daily Mail, and now we’re bringing it to you. The offender is this scenario is fashion retailer H&M, which just didn’t offer enough gender-neutral costumes for Halloween.
Listen to Poppy Lambert-Harden, y’all.

Well that's transphobic of her. How will little boys prove they are girls without princess costumes? https://t.co/icPUU2cNTz

So what? I've seen a five year old eat boogers. Should we do that too? https://t.co/wVAPo5GdL6

Yes. Let's let one little 5 year old decide all important societal matters.

I would like that 5 year old, with no coaching, to explain to me what gender neutral is. https://t.co/4nHW3kuOyu

Poppy’s mother Jesse “posted the clip online to raise awareness as she believes Poppy got it absolutely right and there is unnecessary gender profiling of Halloween costumes.”

First of all, turn the phone sideways! Second, this is indoctrination in action. I'm sure she came up with this all on her own. https://t.co/bPSL1lv9h1

So nice of mom to take her to the boys clothing department and switch on the video to capture this completely spontaneous moment. https://t.co/aNWSODrc7l

Better Title: When your daughter likes some stuff in the boy's section & you prefer political point-scoring over daughter's happiness. https://t.co/70bwUH5uKV

1/2 This could have been a teachable moment "Honey, the shop people put this here, because they think boys will like it. If you like it, you https://t.co/70bwUH5uKV

"2/2 can buy it. It doesn't matter where they display it." Instead, mom teaches kid to be unlikeable whiner, railing about unfairness.? https://t.co/70bwUH5uKV

The only person stopping her from buying something from the boy's section is the person who coached her to say this.https://t.co/hO80MuCD8U

It's not that hard really. All you do is buy stuff from the 'boys/mens' section and then wear it. https://t.co/JYfkIWE2LW

My 3yo asked why progressive socio-political agendas must fall on kids, depriving them of a simple childhood. Didn’t know what to tell xer. https://t.co/DuyYxxnzT7
