California Gov. Jerry Brown is on a roll Monday. First, he appeared to support Education Secretary Betsy DeVos in vetoing a campus sexual assault bill that threatened due process despite “well-intentioned” actions to redress sexual harassment and assault.
Great news out of CA today! (Yes, you read that right. ;)) https://t.co/pf7gAka9Yp

Now he’s done it again, vetoing a bill that would have forced pro-life groups to hire people who did not share that belief.
Not what I expected from the gov that made misgendering someone an offense that could land you in jail for a year. https://t.co/xifUncP3th

The governor is just full of surprises today.
Elissa Gray is an attorney for Alliance Defending Freedom and, according to her Twitter bio, a pro-life feminist.
CA Gov @JerryBrownGov vetoes #AB569, a bill that would have required pro-life groups to hire people who do not share their beliefs.

According to the ADF, AB 569 “would have prohibited churches, religious colleges, religious non-profit organizations, and pro-life pregnancy care centers from having faith-based codes of conduct with regard to abortion and sexual behavior.”

We should be horrified that such would even be attempted. But I am thankful that @JerryBrownGov stood with the First Amendment here. https://t.co/x2O1xeTtU5

File this under the "stopped clock that's right twice a day." A rare good decision from Gov. Moonbeam. https://t.co/BJ1489rfVT
