We’re so old we remember hearing reports of Post-Election/Selection Trauma (PEST) when George W. Bush defeated Al Gore way back when, so it’s not as if Washington Post opinion writer Dana Milbank was onto something new last week when he unveiled THUD, or Trump Hypertensive Unexplained Disorder, in a piece headlined, “President Trump is killing me. Really.”

Milbank writes that his editor, too, “has been newly warned by his doctor that his blood pressure has become borderline.” Milbank also reports feelings of “fatigue, headaches, poor sleep, even some occasional chest pain” — none of which can be explained other than by a case of THUD. It’s a joke, kind of — the kind that’s not funny.
