For those readers who don’t follow alternative music, critical favorite Annie Clark goes by the stage name of St. Vincent, and she was awarded the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album in 2015. That album, the self-titled “St. Vincent.” was released on Republic Records, a division of Universal Music Group, a subsidiary of French media conglomerate Vivendi.
There probably wasn’t one word in that paragraph of interest to our readers, but it kind of throws things into context when Clark sends out a Labor Day tweet like this one.
I want to wish a very happy Labor Day to the capitalist overlords who depend on worker exploitation to grow their already enormous wealth!

Speaking of wealth, did we mention that Clark is one of the newest faces of iconic jeweler Tiffany & Co.?
I'm honored to work with the timeless and iconic @tiffanyandco on their new Fall campaign. #TheresOnlyOne pic.twitter.com/EGaNkqBaDC

Not only did she wish her capitalist overlords a happy Labor Day — earlier she tweeted how honored she was to model diamond jewelry for them. She really does care — maybe even enough to mine some of those diamonds herself?
