Frankly, no one expected sparks to fly when Donald Trump Jr. made an appearance on “Hannity” Thursday night, which is why those tuning in to Fox News early were surprised to see fireworks erupt between Tucker Carlson and guest Lt. Col. Ralph Peters.
Col Peters: The #Russians are terrorists and they hate the United States. We have nothing in common with the Russians #Tucker @FoxNews
— Tucker Carlson (@TuckerCarlson) July 12, 2017
That’s one way of summarizing it, but it leaves out Peters suggesting Carlson’s defense of Vladimir Putin made him sound like “Charles Lindbergh in 1938” making apologies for Hitler.
Where were you when Lt. Col. Ralph Peters bodied Tucker Carlson on his own show?
— Comfortably Smug (@ComfortablySmug) July 12, 2017
Peters is the new Gianforte.
— Gastly Knight (@deknightberight) July 12, 2017
Carlson seemed a bit taken aback to be likened to a Nazi apologist.

If Tucker has any honor, he'll never appear in public again. LTC (ret) Peters does the necessary. Brilliant. https://t.co/FdbikiOw8H

I noticed a bit of 'Methinks he doth protest too much' coming from Tucker. ?? https://t.co/tWd7U18IBA

Shorter Tucker Carlson: "Well, I do declare!"
— ben hur (@NateMBurnett) July 12, 2017
Lt. Col. against Tucker was like Tom Cruise making Jack Nicholson sabotage himself. There is old school & there is #ModernDayPresidential
— Frankie Mcollins (@frankieknowskc) July 12, 2017
Tucker completely embarrasses himself advocating for appeasement of Putin. This is everything Reagan warned against in A Time for Choosing. https://t.co/pS8PAXMXkH

Good for Ralph. Carlson's gotten away with this for too long. https://t.co/3cBm0mWLs2

RUS knows they've successfully driven wedge between political structure in our society, they're winning the war w/out firing a single round

The Lt Col is calling the hypocrisy out on an issue that must be above partisan spinning; Russia's undermining U.S. democracy and standing

Didn't see it but it sounds like 8 pm on Fox is the Ralph Peters Show now
— Allahpundit (@allahpundit) July 12, 2017
Hold on; some are questioning the call that Peters mopped the studio floor with Carlson.

He's out of control tonight. We should be willing to work with Russia if it helps our country with a common goal such as going after ISIS.

Col Peters hates Putin bc he doesn't support the globalist agenda. #DrainTheSwamp

Tucker, I absolutely agree with you. We can be glad for positive moves and clap. Great job standing your ground through heated debate?
— ❌Lynn Ward Moore❌ (@LynnWardMoore12) July 12, 2017
Wow! I thought you guys were going to get physical there for a moment! Tactically aligning w/ Russia for a single goal doesn't make us BFFs.
— Scott Solomon (@redhotforjesus) July 12, 2017
Fabulous tv! And no one threw a punch kept it verbal . That was one for the ages between you & Lt Col Peters!
