He’s an illegal immigrant, but his life in the United States far from undocumented. Jose Antonio Vargas has worked for the Washington Post, the Huffington Post, and other national media outlets, directed and starred in the MTV documentary, “White People,” and named Gov. Bobby Jindal as an example of an immigrant “whitewashing” himself.
On Monday, Vargas read up on the horrific murder of Muslim teen Nabra Hassanen. Several reporters today confirmed that ICE has a detainer for the suspect, Darwin Martinez Torres, but Vargas might not have reached that point in his reading.

Whatever else they do, reporters had best be careful not to refer to Torres as an illegal alien or illegal immigrant in their tweets; Vargas has been known to alert their editors to their use of the “i” word.
And they're investigating it as a road rage incident. Ridiculous this is a hate crime.

Apparently the perp hated Muslims so bad he came to the country illegally to kill one. Totally plausable.
