Linda Sansour made it clear in February that she didn’t want to be judged on something stupid she said six years ago — which is quite a sizable request from a co-organizer of the anti-Trump Women’s March on Washington, considering the most recognizable symbol of the event was the “pussy hat,” a reminder of something stupid Donald Trump had said 12 years earlier.
Sansour was referring to an old tweet of hers which had resurfaced in which she had wished women’s rights activists Brigitte Gabriel and Ayaan Hirsi Ali would be whipped and their vaginas taken away, declaring that “they don’t deserve to be women.”
Now, with the Senate taking up the American Health Care Act, Sansour is joining others in keeping count of the number of uteruses present on the working group.
ZERO women working on the GOP Senate health care bill. Smh. https://t.co/WThAGNBKJl

No one in the Senate healthcare working group has a uterus, but the group does include four notable assholes. https://t.co/6LO4M82zJS

The panel should be ALL women. They know about healthcare. Not these men.

You know who really knows about health care and health insurance? Health care professionals and insurance companies; maybe government should get out of their way and get back to governing.
Who’s surprised that a group affiliated with Planned Parenthood is keeping close track of internal organs? That Lamborghini doesn’t pay for itself.
13 senators are working on the "health care" bill.
Not a single one of them has a uterus.
That's a problem. https://t.co/8bTBVk43pB pic.twitter.com/eV9Dhc15LE

What’s a problem is that the group is still equating the having of a uterus with womanhood; the Women’s March has already taken the heat for being overly “reproductive system-focused” when it comes to determining gender.
Who is working on the Senate health insurance bill: 12 white male Republicans. Not even one uterus, but they're making plans for ours. pic.twitter.com/IcHeYesMXm

Silly uterus-less, vagina-less #Republican males thinkin' they know about women's healthcare needs again: https://t.co/9y5PnuRHUQ #morons

Paul Mirengoff of Power Line analyzed the makeup of the working group and came to this conclusion:
It may well be that at least one of the five GOP females would have been willing to participate in the working group. Thus, the Republicans probably could have “kept up appearances” by placing one of them on it.
However, one aide said: “We have no interest in playing the games of identity politics, that’s not what this is about; it’s about getting a job done.” Bravo.
Funny how no one seems to mention that Roe v. Wave was decided by another group that lacked a single uterus:
Not a single SCOTUS member that decided abortion would be legal had a uterus either. Care to make a valid point?
