Laurie David's forecast: Storm battering NYT climate change heretic Bret Stephens will only get stronger

Even after addressing several of his critics in a follow-up to his inaugural column for the New York Times, Bret Stephens is still feeling the heat from the climate change police, including Laurie David, producer of Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth,” and Bill McKibben, founder of 350.org.

Just as a reminder for anyone who didn’t read Stephens’ column, which likely includes most of the people who melted down the New York Times switchboard in a rush to cancel their subscriptions: he clearly stated that “none of this is to deny climate change or the possible severity of its consequences.”

But people have a right to be skeptical, don’t they? Seems that’s no longer a rhetorical question.

Wow, 50 degrees above normal? One quick question: what’s “normal”? On second thought, forget we asked; Stephens has the pillory reserved indefinitely. Why does he want Greenland to melt anyway? David tagged him in on the conversation.

Whoa, someone did read his column!

The New York Times has been warned; better throw Stephens overboard before the last remaining subscriber finally gets through to the operator and cancels. Of course, weather forecasts have been known to have been wrong before.

Speaking of talking, “An Inconvenient Truth” made pretty clear the tone that climate change alarmists were going to take going forward.
