Sometimes Howard Dean screaming incoherently on stage is a lot easier to translate than some of his tweets.
As Twitchy noted, UC Berkeley, which had canceled an appearance by Ann Coulter due to safety concerns, dug around a bit and found a super-secret protected venue and a new date. (Coulter maintains she’ll be there on the originally contracted date; #ShePersisted, as it were.)
Former presidential candidate Howard Dean seems a bit bothered that Coulter is being allowed a forum at all, seeing as her brand of hate speech is not protected under the First Amendment.

It’s gonna be hard to slip that theory past a public that just had a constitutional law professor as president for eight years.

We understand some believe the Constitution is a living, evolving document, but our old copy doesn’t mention hate speech anywhere, let alone a ban.

Speech is not defined by random emotions arbitrarily applied by self appointed censors who strive to stifle it. https://t.co/8fBi6IF4eG

Can you help me out and explain what things you would jail people for saying?

The last time I checked a Progressive chat board, unbridled hatred was not against the law.

If you do not understand how dangerous such a notion is to liberty, then you should go from America, and we will promptly forget you.
