Sen. Ted Cruz smokes Obama, Trudeau for their feckless statements on Fidel Castro's death [video]

As Twitchy reported, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s statement on the death of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro was so ridiculously laudatory that it inspired its own hashtag game, #TrudeauEulogies — not that the White House’s was much better.

CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller called it “carefully-worded to avoid condemnations of his decades of dictatorship,” and he was being kind — President Obama and company left it to “history” to pass judgment on the “enormous impact of this singular figure” on the Cuban people and the world.

Others in government were much less kind in their send-offs of Fidel Castro, and on Wednesday afternoon, Sen. Ted Cruz took the Senate floor to proclaim we should all be thankful Castro had moved on to “warmer climes.” He also blasted Obama and Trudeau for ignoring decades of tyranny in their official statements.
