Here’s a breaking news exclusive from both CNN and Politico, both of which reported Monday night that former president George H.W. Bush might or might not be voting for Hillary Clinton in November.
Actually, that’s not very interesting, until one checks into the details of the story, at which point it becomes even less interesting. It seems that Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, daughter of Robert Kennedy, met with Bush Monday and posted a photo to Facebook with the caption, “The President told me he’s voting for Hillary!!”
Politico reached out for comment and was met with, “That’s what he said.”
Kennedy met w/ HW Bush in Maine today, telling her he'd vote for Clinton: "That’s what he said,” she told @politico https://t.co/ourFd9ug0k

"Kennedy outs a Bush who favors a Clinton." Wonder what Trump will say about this: https://t.co/RwYAaQjrhv

We wonder what Bush’s camp will say about this.

CNN, which appeared to have published Politico’s exclusive story before Politico did, held back a bit with the claim, noting that a spokesperson for Bush, Jim McGrath, neither confirmed nor denied the claim, saying only, “The vote President Bush will cast as a private citizen in some 50 days will be just that: a private vote cast in some 50 days.”
H.W. would be voting for the wife of the man who took him out of office, if true— that's insane.

There’s no question that voting for Hillary Clinton is insane, but it’s difficult to get worked up about the whole thing. So, John F. Kennedy’s niece posted to Facebook that George H.W. Bush told her that he was voting for Hillary Clinton, the wife of Bill Clinton, who defeated him in the 1992 election?
They’re all pals at this point, aren’t they? Where’s the surprise?
