The Washington Post might have trouble writing an opinion piece about this, seeing as the paper decided last year that it wouldn’t use the word “Redskins” in any editorial coverage of the team and has already run its requisite “dissent is a form of patriotism too” column.
While other pundits are still struggling to make Colin Kaepernick’s choice to sit out the national anthem seem like a noble deed, though, we’ll go ahead and praise the Redskins by name for jumping into action Monday night and assisting with the display of a gigantic American flag.
Redskins players help hold the flag, Steelers stood at attention. Crowd roared. Thank you, gentlemen.

From what I could tell, Ben Roethlisberger and Greg Warren held the field-sized American flag. All Steelers standing. Skins ALL held flag.

Looks like some of the others already know how it’s done, especially on 9/11.

It wouldn’t be fair to say that Colin Kaepernick has accomplished nothing with his refusal to stand during the anthem; we’ve learned to appreciate proud displays of patriotism even more rather than take them for granted and little more than a habit.
