Report: Multiple FBI investigations underway into Clinton Foundation corruption

Daily Caller News Foundation senior investigative reporter Richard Pollock reported late Thursday that multiple FBI investigations are underway into the Clinton Foundation, according to a former senior law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the activities.

The probe is based out of New York City, home of the Clinton Foundation, and is being led by Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York. Assistance is being provided by various U.S. Attorneys Offices, Pollock reports.

Corroboration? That will be something to look forward to seeing on Friday.

Pollock adds that involvement of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York “would be seen by agents as a positive development as prosecutors there are generally thought to be more aggressive than the career lawyers within the DOJ.”

Former FBI Director James Kallstrom told Laura Ingraham in July that James Comey’s decision not to recommend an indictment of Hillary Clinton after spelling out the FBI’s findings had destroyed morale inside the bureau and left former and current agents feeling “mad” and “extremely disappointed.”
