Internet braces for flood of remixes after Carly Fiorina sings at Ted Cruz presser [video]

By this morning, everyone expected that Ted Cruz would use his 4 p.m. special announcement to introduce Carly Fiorina as his running mate should he win the GOP nomination. It seems that no one expected that Fiorina would break into song, though.

Consequence of getting news from Twitter: I half-believe that Carly Fiorina is Cruz’s “running mate” and that she is singing about it.

I don't know what Carly F just sang on TV, but fingers crossed the 2016 election is about to turn into a full-on musical.

After mentioning how well she's gotten to know Cruz's daughters, Carly Fiorina starts singing from the podium

Is it just me or is this a little surreal?

— Ana Navarro-Cárdenas (@ananavarro) April 27, 2016

Carly Fiorina singing in the midst of her speech? Unbelievably weird and bizarre!!

Some even thought the musical interlude was a little creepy.

@kimguilfoyle: "Carly's lullaby singing freaked me out a little. Was a little Children of the Cornish." ? #TheFive

We know the remixes are coming; the only question is which one hits the Internet first.

Dear Music Producers,
Someone please remix the Carly Fiorina VP Jam.

Sincerely,
The Internet

I'm really looking forward to the trap remix of Carly Fiorina's creepy Hansel & Gretel-esque song about Ted Cruz's daughters.
