Mark Knoller takes another swipe at CNN's obsession with countdown clocks

Mark Knoller, CBS News’ unofficial numbers guy, can’t seem to get enough of CNN’s on-screen countdown clocks. Our favorite: When Knoller thanked CNN for its essential asteroid flyby countdown clock, which dutifully ticked away the seconds while earthlings helplessly watched an asteroid pass within 3.6 million miles of our fragile planet.

We’re not sure when CNN started its countdown to the Democrat presidential debate, but we do know the channel gave its viewers more than 24 hours to ready themselves.

Honey – can you check the debate countdown clock? Otherwise how will we know when it's 830pm/ET Tuesday. If only we had personal timepieces.
