White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said today that the United States is prepared to take in at least 10,000 Syrian refugees over the next fiscal year, adding that it’s just not feasible to have millions of Syrians come to the United States.

Trying to assuage concerns that terrorists will be among those whom the U.S. invites in, Earnest said the refugees will be “extensively screened” to ensure national security.
@KatiePavlich With no way to vet/do background checks on these "refugees" only a complete idiot (or an enemy agent) would support taking any

As a result of the press briefing, “10,000 Syrian” has become a trending topic in the United States.
Fantastic! Obama will take 10,000 Syrian refugees. That's 0.25% of the 4,000,000 need. http://t.co/owbcVqT7R3 pic.twitter.com/pSGspqbrue
