As Twitchy reported earlier, the early morning J’Ouvert Festival, which precedes the annual West Indian Day Parade in New York City, saw three people shot in apparent gang violence and one person fatally stabbed. ABC 7 reports now that another man was stabbed in the abdomen this afternoon and is hospitalized in serious condition.
In happier news, Fox 5’s Emily Miller notes that a controversial Confederate flag, the subject of a huge #TakeItDown protest at South Carolina’s State House, made an appearance at a parade in Montgomery County, Md.

According to Miller, the parade was refreshingly controversy-free.
