On Saturday, Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman told the press that Deputy Darren Goforth’s execution-style shooting death Friday night was “just a cold blooded execution,” with Goforth possibly targeted simply because he was wearing a police uniform at a time when anti-police rhetoric “is out of control.” Here again is video shot at Saturday’s #BlackFair protest outside the Minnesota State Fair, by activists who were being escorted by police officers.

Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke has been a guest throughout the day on several Fox News programs along with Dana Loesch and Alan Colmes, echoing Hickman’s theory that the ramping-up of anti-police sentiment has made law enforcement a target for senseless acts of violence.
