We knew the president was headed to Africa this week to talk trade and entrepreneurship, as well as to visit his family’s homeland, but we didn’t know that 17 House members and 3 Senators — all Democrats but one — were tagging along.
Why take so many? Well, for one, on a golf outing you can only take along three lawmakers from whom you need support for your Iran deal.

It’s a long trip; hopefully the legislators will find time to talk seriously about the president’s plan to regulate airplane emissions on the way.
