It doesn’t take much more than being a Republican or a Christian to find yourself on the receiving end of a Twitter tirade by author Stephen King. What, then, has Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) done to be called a cheapskate? Not only did he vote against funding the Department of Homeland Security (and therefore President Obama’s executive amnesty plan); he also said that most DHS employees would show up for work anyway.
That’s not surprising. As CNN reports, “many of DHS’ most fundamental operations won’t be impacted,” although morale at the agency could take a hit: “And officials have warned that low morale for DHS staffers could translate to slower service for Americans, particularly at airport security checkpoints.” There’s your horror story right there.
King’s followers were equally appalled by Blunt’s comment.
@StephenKing I bet he has a lot of children with women he doesn't support.

@StephenKing He’s an asshole. God. Every time there’s a vote, you can really tell who respects their constituents & who doesn’t.

@StephenKing AND THAT kind of thinking is why I don't like the GOP. They don't respect people & feel entitled to hurt them for profit. :C

@StephenKing Yeah, it's not like any of the DHS employees count on their paychecks. Gonna go slam my head in a door now. Grrrrrr
