For as many who died tragically in the Iraq War, there are millions who will live long lives (and a fortunate handful who will make lucrative careers out of) fighting and re-fighting whose “fault” it was. For some reason, some of these people can’t seem to help conflating the exposure of NBC News anchor Brian Williams as a chronic liar and aggrandizer and their hatred for President George W. Bush.
Not surprisingly, Michael Moore was one of the first out of the gate, publishing a lengthy rant on Facebook chronicling his astonishment that “FINALLY, someone is paying for Iraq war lies… and it’s Brian fucking Williams?????” Who knows? Your tweet might not win you a standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival, but if it makes you feel better, go for it. We’ve done our best to sort these tweets carefully from most original to least original, but the differences might be subtle.
Refresh my memory: how long were Bush, Cheney, Rice & Rumsfeld suspended over Iraq lies?

REMINDER; None of Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld was ever suspended for waging an illegal, disastrous war in Iraq on a pack of lies. #BrianWilliams

#BrianWilliams is suspended and disgraced for lying about the Iraq War. George Bush is happily painting bathtub self-portraits.

BWilliams was suspended for an Iraq untruth because journalists are the backbone of democracy. But Bush, Cheney, Rumey, et al.? Not so much.
