A 3.5 magnitude earthquake centered on Irving, Texas, shook the ground in the Dallas-Fort Worth area this afternoon, shaking up residents and causing some minor damage.

NBC Channel 5 reports that a team from Southern Methodist University is trying to learn if the recent quakes in the area were induced or the result of natural, believed to be dormant, fault lines in the area.
