Protesters ignore Mayor de Blasio's request, attempt to shut down Fifth Avenue

As Twitchy reported, #BlackLivesMatters demonstrators had some ugly words for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio after his call Monday for a suspension of protests until after the bodies of slain police officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos had been laid to rest.

A relatively small group of protesters went ahead with their usual Monday night die-in at Grand Central Station, and Tuesday’s attempt to “shut down” Fifth Avenue with a “huge” protest went on as planned, albeit in some lousy weather.

We’d throw a pity party, but we feel bad for the police who have to march along to protect the anti-police protesters.

Looks like somebody sneaked in with an “Obey the law: Respect police” sign. Good work.
