'Are you going to keep dividing us?' Mayor de Blasio scolds media for enabling conflict

@lifebythecreek @TheRickWilson @BilldeBlasio It's total CYA for all of these cretins.

— dominiquemelted (@dominiquemelted) December 22, 2014

Anyone who suspected that New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Monday afternoon press conference was a CYA move by the mayor had their suspicions confirmed when de Blasio blew his fuse at a reporter’s question and blamed the media for the divisiveness currently plaguing the city.

And…now de Blasio is blaming the media, angrily

.@BilldeBlasio asks media "What are you guys going to do? Are you going to keep dividing us?"

— Tina Moore (@TinaMoorereport) December 22, 2014

Now de Blasio is blaming the media for "dividing" people against police. "I dont see reports on everyday cops who do right thing."

— Emily Miller (@emilymiller) December 22, 2014

"no reports on everyday cops" de Blasio to media – maybe someone in the press office needs to pull the clips @maggiepolitico

— Lisa L. Colangelo (@lisalcolangelo) December 22, 2014

@EmilyMiller I don't recall his pressers noting how "everyday cops who do the right thing" either.

Bad media. @BilldeBlasio lectures reporters on what to cover in protests. Bad actors? Move along.

— John Gibson (@GibsonRadio) December 22, 2014

Mayor @BilldeBlasio who has made a career off dividing communities is accusing media of dividing community. That's some serious irony.

De Blasio blasts media coverage of protests: “The few who want conflict attempt that, and unfortunately so many times you guys enable that”

— Charlie Spiering (@charliespiering) December 22, 2014

#DeBlasio really doesn't like the media. You gotta have a thicker skin in NYC man.

— Dave Rubin (@RubinReport) December 22, 2014

Oh, that's delicious. @BilldeBlasio is blaming the media for dividing the city. Not Sharpton. Not the crazies. The media.

— Rick Wilson (@TheRickWilson) December 22, 2014

@TheRickWilson @BilldeBlasio Did he take any personal responsibility?

— Just the Facts (@Truth007Seeker) December 22, 2014

@TheRickWilson @BilldeBlasio The attraction of being a leftist is you get to blame everyone else for your failings.

— Mark the Magnificent (@MarkJDietl) December 22, 2014

@lifebythecreek @TheRickWilson @BilldeBlasio When have these infantile asses EVER taken responsibility?

— dominiquemelted (@dominiquemelted) December 22, 2014

@TheRickWilson Well, in fairness, he should be blaming the media along with those other people. And himself. @BilldeBlasio

— RBe (@RBPundit) December 22, 2014

Look, if the idiot Mayor of New York wants to pick a fight with the media, I'm not going to be the one to stop him.

— RBe (@RBPundit) December 22, 2014

The media is, in my view, causing the divisiveness and pushing the eliminationist rhetoric from the Left. I'm breaking out the popcorn.

— RBe (@RBPundit) December 22, 2014

So, if the moron Mayor of New York wants to pick a fight with them, I'm stepping aside and rooting for injuries.

— RBe (@RBPundit) December 22, 2014

De Blasio wasn’t always so hostile to reporters, eventually taking the press conference in a bizarre detour that led to … Watergate.
