Jay Carney whines about 'shallow approach' of press, is owned

In an interview with the New York Times Magazine, former Time reporter and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney laments “chasing the same soccer ball down the field that everybody else was,” saying that the current format “reinforces a shallow approach” to journalism.

Washington Post congressional reporter Paul Kane doesn’t quite agree with that assessment.

Carney can’t be blamed personally for all of that, can he? Maybe just a couple of “bear walks.”
