A Philadelphia judge on Thursday tied up a couple of loose ends in the Kermit Gosnell case by sentencing two former workers at the clinic. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports:
Lynda Williams, 45, a ninth-grade dropout and phlebotomist, whom Gosnell taught to administer anesthesia and assist in abortions, was sentenced to 5-10 years on her guilty plea to two counts of third-degree murder.
Lerner sentenced Tina Baldwin, 48, a receptionist at Gosnell’s Women’s Medical Society clinic, 3801 Lancaster Ave., to 30 months’ probation for her guilty plea to sustaining a corrupt organization, conspiracy and corrupting a minor. The latter count involved Baldwin letting her 15-year-old daughter work at the clinic.
