The Donald Sterling tape recording heard around the world had much of America watching NBA Commissioner Adam Silver’s press conference Tuesday. Most seem satisfied with the commissioner’s judgment of a lifetime ban and a $2.5 million fine — the maximum that can be imposed under NBA rules. Celebs were paying attention too, and Val Kilmer has nominated Silver to the (nonexistent) post of Commissioner of Congress.
Other celebs gave Silver passing marks for his performance as well.
Grateful that Silver did the right thing. Owners must follow his lead and unanimously vote Sterling out. Now let's win the game tonight.
