Defendant in Brian Terry murder sentenced to 30 years; Eric Holder still free

Manuel Osorio-Arellanes was sentenced Monday to 30 years in prison for the killing of U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry. Two of the guns used in the administration’s “Fast and Furious” gun walking operation were found at the scene of Terry’s murder in southern Arizona in 2010.

Osorio-Arellanes, a Mexican national, is the only individual who has been prosecuted in the United States. Two other suspects are in police custody in Mexico pending extradition, and Eric Holder still serves as U.S. Attorney General. The House voted in 2012 to find Holder in contempt of Congress.

Many believe that the sentence is too light.
