Human Rights Campaign assured 'Duck Dynasty' family will work with LGBT groups

As Twitchy reported, GLAAD is probably anything but upon hearing that Phil Robertson will rejoin the rest of his family next spring to resume filming of “Duck Dynasty.” A representative of the Human Rights Campaign, an LGBT advocacy and lobbying group, told CNN that his group had been assured that the Robertsons would work with black and LGBT groups as part of the deal.

The Human Rights Campaign’s Fred Sainz noted that absent from A&E’s statement on the matter was an agreement that the Robertson family was now “open to working with African-American and LGBT people to address the real harm that such anti-gay and racist comments can cause.”

Not all were impressed by that “assurance.”

In its official statement, A&E said it will “use this moment to launch a national public service campaign promoting unity, tolerance and acceptance among all people.”
