President Obama officially noted World AIDS Day today, displaying a large red ribbon on the White House. Another president was on a lot of minds today, though. For as much abuse as George W. Bush endures, even political foes find themselves acknowledging his efforts to fight AIDS, including his President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, or PEPFAR, and the work of the Bush Institute.
So proud that I served in George W Bush's admin. He gave more $$ to African AIDS relief than all other presidents combined. #WAD2013

With 30 mins left in World AIDS Day, it's worth mentioning that Bush 43's #PEPFAR has saved millions of lives. Literally. Millions.

#PEPFAR has been so important in the fight against HIV/AIDS and George W. Bush is the President who did that.

Thanks, Pres. Bush! RT @WhiteHouse We’ve come a long way since the early days of the AIDS epidemic—but we’ve still got more work to do.

Media is going to cover the shit out of Obama's AIDS announcement, though it pales in comparison to GW Bush's efforts. #WorldAIDSDay
