David Shuster wonders if MSNBC has double standard for suspensions

We know that MSNBC’s Martin Bashir managed to escape a suspension for suggesting that someone defecate and urinate on Sarah Palin’s mouth and eyes, a comment for which he soon apologized. This came as a surprise to David Shuster, the former MSNBC employee who was suspended for two weeks in 2008 for suggesting that Chelsea Clinton was “sort of being pimped out in some weird sort of way” to support her mother’s campaign.
