News flash: Constituents thrilled to see elected representative.

Colorado’s Rep. Cory Gardner was taking a helicopter tour of the flood devastation in his district this afternoon when he spotted some stranded residents waving for help. The National Guard helicopter was able to land and rescue seven people as well as a dog and a cat. Just for fun, we’ll assume the rescued dog’s name was T-Bone.

That wasn’t all Rep. Gardner saw from the helicopter. “Long recovery” is an understatement.
