San Diego’s city council will reportedly decide in a closed session Tuesday how to handle a request that the city pay Mayor Bob Filner’s legal fees in a sexual harassment suit filed by the mayor’s former press secretary, Irene McCormack Jackson.

Filner on Friday confirmed that he would not step down but would instead enter a two-week course of intensive therapy — while remaining on the clock.
