If anything is ironic, it’s that a British journalist feels no hesitation ridiculing Americans (Ben Shapiro in particular) for thinking they might have to one day defend their freedom — seriously, when has that ever happened? To Morgan, though, the First Amendment is the one that matters; after all, he credited it with protecting him from “deportation.” When more than a few American citizens exercise their own First Amendment rights outside the confines of a New York TV studio, though, it can seem a little tyrannical.
