The January 6 select committee promised us a witness and new evidence Tuesday that would rival the Nixon hearings. The star of the show today was Cassidy Hutchinson, a staffer of former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, who said that she saw President Donald Trump lunge toward the driver of the presidential limo on January 6 and demand to be taken back to the Capitol.
Cassidy Hutchinson testifies that she was told that as then-President Donald Trump was being driven back to the White House after the Jan. 6 rally that he demanded to be taken to the Capitol and tried to grab the steering wheel from a Secret Service agent. https://t.co/JefVhEsY0b pic.twitter.com/uUyQcnSlLG

This is making me like Trump more.

The President travels in the back of the Presidential Limousine- which is divided from the driver- possibly with bullet/blastproof glass.
How can you people belive this? That he lunged through the divider headfirst and tried to take the wheel like Keanu Reeves in Speed?

Did he magically jump from the back seat to the front seat?

And she witnessed none of this.

This is what J6 has been reduced to.

Can I testify about what I heard, too? Some guy told me some good stuff,

In a real court, this would be hearsay but in a ridiculous spectacle, it's super compelling.

CBS News’ Robert Costa is reporting on the hearing and telling us what we heard today wasn’t a bombshell, but rather history unfolding.
Robert Costa on today's Jan. 6 hearing: "what we have just heard…wasn't a bombshell, this was history. We are watching history unfold. Not since…Butterfield revealed tapes have we seen this kind of new detail about presidential conduct."

And I should add that calling out this insanity has nothing to do with me judging Hutchinson's testimony.
The idea we hadn't been told of unprofessional conduct by a president since Nixon is LUDICROUS. 4 Pinocchio's!

Wake me up when Trump starts funding British spies to author dossiers to impeach his opponents

The walls are definitely closing in this time, for sure. We’re not watching history happen; we’re watching hearsay happen.
