It’s been 50 minutes so far, and while President Biden has talked about a lot of the same things he championed on the campaign trail, we haven’t heard him make mention of the crisis at the southern border — come to think of it, it’s disappeared from cable news as well, replaced by the Derek Chauvin verdict and the Ma’Khia Bryant shooting.
Biden has yet to mention the BORDER.
The. BORDER.

Nothing going on down there…. ?
— DirtyJerz (@Saboourns) April 29, 2021
He won't.

We’re more than 15 minutes into President Biden’s Joint Address and he STILL hasn’t mentioned the major humanitarian and security crisis at our southern border. #IA01 #JointAddress

We’re 20 minutes into Biden’s #JointAddress and there hasn’t been one mention of the crisis at our border. #SOTU

Does this count as Biden mentioning the border?
It has been an hour https://t.co/AuK4RuJT1t

Biden still hasn’t mentioned the crisis he created at our southern border.
— Rep. Lauren Boebert (@RepBoebert) April 29, 2021
Biden still hasn't mentioned the "kids in cages" at the border. The cages that were built during the Obama administration. Not one time. C'mon man!
— Damani Felder (@TheDamaniFelder) April 29, 2021
Has Biden mentioned the crisis at the border once? ? #JointAddress

Do you think the illegal aliens streaming across our southern border are excited about Biden’s call for a $15 minimum wage?
— Mark Gonsalves (@MarkCongressGA7) April 29, 2021
The President's first and most important job is to protect its citizens.
30 minutes into Biden's speech and no mention of the border crisis.
He should ask border communities what they think about the state of our union.
— Rep. Jodey Arrington (@RepArrington) April 29, 2021
Biden just said “Doing nothing is not an option.” If that’s the case Mr. President, why hasn’t your administration taken action on the crisis at our border? Doing nothing is jeopardizing the safety of Americans. #JointAddress
— August Pfluger (@AugustPfluger) April 29, 2021
Yeah … Biden’s not gonna address the border. At all. It’s not in the tenor of this speech. #JointAddress
— Mark Zinno (@MarkZinno) April 29, 2021
Biden's noticeably avoiding immigration and the crisis at the border that's twice the size of the crisis under Trump the left hyperventilated about on a minute by minute basis.

When Joe Biden talks about crisis you might think he is referring to the #bordercrisis but no…he is talking about the temperature outside being a crisis.
He is still ignoring the national security, humanitarian and health crisis on our southern border in this #BidenAddress pic.twitter.com/Huw4hZr6gI

Biden says Harris will be in charge of the American Jobs Plan… I wonder if she’ll show up for this job? Haven’t seen her working on the Border crisis.
— Thomas Massie (@RepThomasMassie) April 29, 2021
Joe Biden… you might not want to ask your VP to lead the energy effort. She is still struggling to lead on the border.
— Madison Gesiotto Gilbert (@madisongesiotto) April 29, 2021
How long until Biden addresses the border? Will he even do it all? #BidenAddress
— Mark Zinno (@MarkZinno) April 29, 2021
Looks like Rep. Lauren Boebert gave Biden a hint:
Lauren Boebert has unfurled a space blanket.
— Matt Fuller (@MEPFuller) April 29, 2021
Alright, so Lauren Boebert just sort of loudly opened a space blanket—like shook it free so that everyone could hear it in the chamber—and then just draped it on her lap.
I honestly don't know what it means.
— Matt Fuller (@MEPFuller) April 29, 2021
Think about it.
Rep. Lauren Boebert wearing a space blanket, for some reason.
